An Evening of Latino Art at Phoenix Art Museum

More than 300 people attended our reception and membership drive the evening of Aug. 19. Guests enjoyed the music of Gustavo Angeles & Resonancia, appetizers, and toured Phantom Sightings and Locals Only.

Jim Ballinger, Director of the Phoenix Art Museum, welcomed guests and expressed gratitude to Latino Perspectives Magazine for hosting the event. Among our VIP guests were Elisa de la Vara, who offered remarks on behalf of Congressman Ed Pastor; City of Phoenix Councilman Michael Nowakowski congratulated the local artists in attendance for their participation in the exhibit. Luis Castañeda, on behalf of the Consul General of Mexico, emphasized the importance of supporting local artistic manifestations.
