We’re in the endgame now. And with every approaching release of a movie (especially from Marvel), there are potential leaks and spoilers to watch out for. Avengers: Endgame is no different.

At the heels of an enormous cinematic event like this, fans should take extreme precaution when browsing their twitter and Instagram feeds in the coming days. A 5-minute clip recorded from a test screening of the film has been making the rounds on social media that potentially has important plot details fans would most likely rather see for the first time on the big screen.

The directors of Avengers: Endgame, Joe and Anthony Russo, turned to fans Tuesday morning in an open letter explaining the importance of not spoiling the movie and stating: “Thanos demands your silence”.

The letter posted on the directors’ social media pages reads very similar to the one addressed to fans last year in the upcoming days of Avengers: Infinity War’srelease. The letter doesn’t directly call out the said leak, but the timing couldn’t be any better for this letter to be put out there and fans are responding in the most perfect way; making #DontSpoilTheEndgame one of the top trending topics on twitter.

As Thanos once said: “The hardest choices require the strongest wills”,so choose wisely who you follow and what you click on social media.

Avengers: Endgame releases internationally on April 24th, 2019 and in the U.S. on April 26th, 2019.
