Spaces of Opportunity is an incubator farm, community garden and farmers market that is transforming a food desert to a food oasis.

Phoenix, AZ – Fund the Farmis a festive party with a purpose—to support Spaces of Opportuntiy in its efforts to provide affordable access to healthy food in south Phoenix. Tickets to this May 16 event are on sale now and include a hosted bar, tequila tastings, field-fresh hors d’oeuvres and lively music staged in Desert Botanical Garden’s beautiful outdoor setting.

Fund the Farm will feature an exclusive concert for event attendees by Vox Urbana—a seven-piece band that combines Latin-based sounds with stories and experiences of the Arizona/Sonora border region. The binational band is based in Tucson and has been creatively narrating stories of the border community since 2010.

Spaces of Opportunity is an incubator farm, community garden and farmers market that is transforming a food desert to a food oasis. Located on 18 acres in south Phoenix, Spaces of Opportunity is engineering a comprehensive, neighborhood food system where gardeners, farmers and farm workers are celebrated as artisans. Ticket sales for Fund the Farm and sponsorship will provide essential infrastructure for Spaces of Opportunity, including shade structures and cool storage.
